Mana - Last Village of India

I'll follow you across the snow; Ye travel heavily and slow; In spite of all my weary pain I'll look upon your tents again

- William Wordsworth

The Mana Valley lies in the hinterland of Badrinath. Mana, the last village on the Indian side of the border with Tibet. The towering peaks, the holy temples, the pure Alaknanda filled our soul with a delight which was not of this world.

Legend and history says that, Maharishi Vyasa lived in a cave located here and also Lord Ganesh stayed here for writing the long epic Mahabaratha.
